SDLG Strengthens Its India Story with New Gandhidham Plant
On 21 September 2026, SDLG inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Gandhidham, Gujarat, marking another step in the company’s commitment to strengthening its presence in India. The facility expands SDLG’s local capabilities and brings its machines and support closer to key operating regions.
The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME), Chairperson, DPA, New Mangalore and IPA, with Mr. Wen Degang, General Manager, SDLG, Mr. R. Sathyanarayanan, Director and Head of India Operations, SDLG India,and Mr. Wang Xiaohui and Mr. Li Yuecun, Vice General Managers, SDLG, joining the occasion.
Building on its presence in India since 2009, SDLG offers wheel loaders, excavators and motor graders developed for Indian operating requirements and certified by ARAI. Its equipment supports demanding applications across quarrying, mining, roads, agriculture, earth work, urban infrastructure, railway sidings and ports, backed by a pan-India dealer network providing after-sales service and parts availability.
The launch of SDLG India’s new ₹300 crore manufacturing plant in Gandhidham, Gujarat, secured strong and diversified media visibility, with coverage spanning national business and manufacturing media, construction and infrastructure trade publications, and regional media across Gujarat.
Spread across 6 lakh sq. ft., the facility is planned to support production of up to 3,000 units annually. Manufacturing will be developed in phases, starting with diesel wheel loaders, followed by excavators and, subsequently, electric construction equipment.
Located in Gandhidham, close to the Kandla and Mundra port belt, the facility is strategically positioned to serve customers across western India’s growing industrial and infrastructure corridors. It will also support SDLG’s broader logistics and distribution network within the country.
The new facility strengthens SDLG’s ability to support customers with machines developed for Indian operating conditions, along with responsive local service and support. It also adds capacity to serve the evolving requirements of infrastructure, industrial and construction applications across India.
The Gandhidham facility also marks a new chapter for the local workforce, creating employment opportunities and building skilled manufacturing capabilities within the region. SDLG’s growing team at the plant reflects the company’s focus on developing talent and contributing to the local industrial ecosystem.
